Ledger adds Stellar Lumens support

Ledger Live 2.3.2 has been released that brings native support for Stellar Lumens to app. Until now, Ledger Nano users had to use Stellar Account Manager to manage their Stellar lumens but that has now changed.

From now onwards, there is no need to use Stellar Account Manager to manage your XLM. You will be able to send/receive XLM within the Ledger Live app.

Once you have connected and unlocked Ledger Nano S/X, just go to “Manager” > Add Stellar Lumens and you will be good to go.

Keep in mind that Stellar tokens/assets are not supported natively via Ledger Live. For that, you will still have to use Stellar DEX like StellarTerm.com or StellarPort.io to manage your tokens. Both of these Stellar decentralized exchanges support Ledger Nano and Trezor hardware wallets.

It shall be noted that you can still use Stellar’s account viewer to send and receive XLM. However, Ledger Live is much more user friendly to use.

Here are the release notes of Ledger Live v2.3.2

  • Stellar (XLM) is now supported. Add your accounts, send and receive.
  • Fixed a synchronization issue for some Tron accounts.
  • Miner user interface improvement when clicking on the update banner
  • Fixed some UI glitches including amount ellipsis in operation list.
